Sony/ATV Music Publishing

Sony, in conjunction with the Michael Jackson Family Trust, are buying the music publishing arm of EMI. A list of artists whose music is published by this joint venture is available here.

Sony Music Entertainment is the record label company wholly owned by Sony, and is also part of the ridiculous lawsuit against our government. It owns Columbia Records, among other labels. A full list is here, with artists here.

As well as the media conglomerate which controls Columbia Pictures, TriStar Pictures and Screen Gems (S from Hell/Heaven!), Sony is a huge consumer electronics company. But you knew that, right? Now, despite having never understood the appeal of console gaming myself, I know that many of you would probably be more than a little upset if I told you to ditch the PlayStation for the sake of national pride! But, please consider it, not just for this scandal, but for the Richard O'Dwyer case.
